Addison's Baptism

Addie was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church on Dec 13. Her godparents are cousins Holly and Nick Bartels. Highlights of the day...Addie wore Holly's baptismal gown (24 years old), she recieved a silver cross necklace from her godparents, great grandma Karen made a homemade stitched quilt for Addie, Grandpa Doug had to miss the whole service due to Ethan being your typical 2 year old at church, Grandma Linda received volunteer of the year and was recognized during the service and in the end...Addie left all snugglie as a moose (thanks to uncle steve and uncle ron of course!)

Happy Thanksgiving

We have much to be thankful this year with our new daughter Addie and also being able to watch life go by through Ethan's eyes. Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and friends!

Addie's starting to smile!

Well we have reached the 2 month mark. Addie is up to 12.5 lbs (80%) and 23.25 inches long (88%). She still looks pretty skinny and long, much like her dad. She has started to coo a little bit here and there and she has even managed a few smiles (unrelated to gas of course). She is not a fan of tummy time, well sort of...she usually just falls asleep. Doesn't really put a lot of effort into pushing her head up. She also is following us with her eyes and has had her first accident with her brother. Basically he sat on her and she was pissed off. Can you blame her...he's up to 32 lbs!

Turkey shoot 2009

"I'm not amused, mom" "okay, maybe a little bit"
This is what expression you get when you tell your child to "say cheese".

Scrap the crap weekend

Addie's favorite spot- Grandma's lap I think the scrapping really did her in
Queen scrapper
Lady without 3 boys scrapper
Preggo scrapper
I held the first annual Scrap your crap weekend at our house. My aunt Mary, mom and my friend Robin all came to the scrap-a-thon. Addie was a hit and enjoyed being held, photographed and sung to. My mom enjoyed multiple wardrobe changes and I enjoyed the restful sleep. Yes, you read that right...restful sleep. Under the careful watch of the night owl aunt Mary, Addison had her first sleep through the night. She conked out at 8 and didn't get up until 530 (in which she was woken up because Mary was paranoid something was wrong) and to top it off, she slept the next night from 1030 until 630. Yeah, that has now all passed and she is back to her sporadic awakenings. It was good while it lasted!

Unusually warm November

Addie ventured out for her first family hike on November 10 to Brule National hiking trail. Scott had Ethan in the big pack and I had Addie in the front pack. Addie slept the entire way and Ethan talked the entire way. What more could you ask for?

Per special request...

I've had some requests to post "The captain and his hooker" who were the grand prize contest winners at our Halloween bash. I didn't orginally post them because I thought the hooker would have a few choice words for me if I did...oh well. PS, don't ask me who that miscellaneous woman is between them?
