Funny Book

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Ethan is into reading to his little sister. Well actually his reading consists of only Brown Bear Brown Bear as he has it memorized. I can't wait for the day when he expands his library!

A chilly Memorial Weekend

We opted out of tenting in the thunderstorms this year so my parents came for a visit on Saturday night and we spent Sunday at Park Point in Duluth and Jay Cooke State Park. Ethan thought it was 90 degrees outside and decided to take a little dip in Lake Superior....brrrrrr. After our picnic and some time on the playground, we headed to the trails at Jay Cooke State Park, or should I say the mud pit. We came out of the woods covered in Mud and a few ticks but tis the season for that. Afterwards, we headed to the Ranch (G&G Thompson's cabin in Willow River for a delicious  pork chop dinner. We then drove home in guess what, thunderstorms again. The kids were wiped out and didn't wake until 730 and 830! (which is a record in our house)

Rainy Day Hollywood style

Too  much rain, blinding Hollywood's (aka Addie) eyes.

Dolls

Addison is all girl lately. Her new found love is playing with "baby". However, one must watch where they step around here as "baby" has lots of nap areas...everywhere.

Momma's new present!

For mother's day I was spoiled with a new camera lens which I've been eyeing up for a while. These are a few practice shots I took today. Not to bad for first time out!

Gull Lake Bachman Family Vacation

Ethan, Addie and I got to join my parents and brothers' family for a long weekend vacation in Gull Lake. Scott unfortunately was stuck traveling for work. We packed a lot into our 4 day stay despite the snowy weather. Got to enjoy the hot tub, pool, went shopping (thanks uncle andy for buying Ethan and Addison the most sweetest, sugary candy available at the candy store!), saw HOP at the movies, played family bingo, dyed easter eggs, and even got to practice with a pre-grandma spoiling alert-easter egg hunt. We had a lot of fun, but I think my parents needed a vacation from their vacation once we left!
