Addison turned 10 months old on 7/26. She is not pulling herself up on furniture and very carefully taking a few steps with the help of the leather sofa. She loves to stand up in her crib and we love going in to get her because she has such a big grin. She is a very happy baby with the exception if she gets told no. Then the almighty super pout lip folds under and tears flow. We are not used to the super sensitive girl side. She loves table foods now but still manages to know that mom and dad will hold her bottle if she plays the game. I love watching Ethan and Addison play together. He is overall very kind and caring to his little sister. Wait till she can start talking back. Yikes!

The girls
Scott and I took the kids and headed up to the UP of Michigan for a long weekend. We got to see a lot of Lake Superior, hiked in the Porcupine Mountains and played at LOTS of parks. Ethan swam in Lake Superior for the first time and Addie munched on her first rock. The weather was perfect and the black flies didn't even exist! (which is a rareity in that neck of the woods)

Blistering Fourth of July
We spent 4th of July at "the Ranch" AKA Grandma Karen and Grandpa Dougs cabin near Willow River. It was a HOT one but we managed to stay cool by doing lots of swimming, drinking and more swimming. Ethan enjoyed the fireworks and had some pretty funny commentary. My cousin Ben turned 18 and we headed to the Big C for a night out. I think everyone lost except the Birthday Boy. Anyways, thanks Grandma Karen and Grandpa Doug for hosting!
