Meet Izzy

Izzy joined our family on 6/30. She is four months old and is Border Collie/Black Lab mix. She is a little on the shy side but is slowly warming up to her new home. (And yes, I am doing fairly well with the new dog, for all of those who were concerned.)

6 months old!

Ethan turned 6 months old on 6/24/08. He his starting to sit (still a bit wobbly though), eat rice cereal, prunes and applesauce, and thoroughly enjoys watching dad play softball. He also has found his toes and enjoys using them as teethers and is rolling over all the time but still finds it tricky to roll from his stomach to his back. He is up to a whopping 20 lb 6 oz and mom and dad sure are feeling it!

It's finally Summer

Well, it has finally managed to get into the 70's today. Ethan got to sport his shorts. We'll be heading outside soon to plant some flowers.

Canal Park 6/17/08

Ethan had his first feel of grass yesterday. He enjoyed eating it the most.

Happy First Father's Day!

Is this a Bachman or what?

Peek-a-boo 5/22/08

Lounging at the Hotel 5/19/08

Nothing the boys enjoy more than a good game on TV. Like father, like son.

Como Zoo 5/18/08

We headed to Mpls for our first "family" mini vacation. Ethan really enjoyed Como Zoo. We also spent some time at the Mall of America and attempted to relax in our plush bargain hotel deals we found. Ethan however, was not about relaxing at all from about 7-11pm. He decided to really test out the vocal cords one evening. I don't think he approved of the Hyatt.

Rollover!

Ethan rolled over for the first time today! We had just gotten home and we were playing on the floor. I had him on his stomach for a little tummy time and he managed to flip himself over; not just once but twice!

Minnehaha Falls

We stopped at Minnehaha Falls in Mpls on 5/10/08. It was a little on the chilly and rainy side but we had a nice time anyways.

Happy First Mother's Day!

My first mother's day was very enjoyable. I spent the day with Ethan, my mom, Mary and the 2 boys. We visited with Grandma Karen and Doug, Grandma Vi and the gang and headed up to the Mall of America. The best present of all was that Ethan slept the whole way home (3 hours) and then SLEPT ALL NIGHT (okay, till 5 am...but I'll take it!)

Sunny Day!

Ethan enjoyed catching some rays outside while mom and dad planted 5 Norway Pines, 2 Maple and 3 apple trees in the yard. Now only if we had some sort of deer control.
